Gday we have a brumby (Great ute) but our air con has died the repair shop says its the TX Valve and he cannot find one What are people doing in this situation ,Does anyone know where to get one as subaru say no longer available .Or can another type be fitted ,Thanks Tony

A quick search of Rock Auto (for the Brat not Brumby) brought up an expansion or TX valve by Global Parts Distributors # 3411237. This suits a lot of Japanese cars and quite a number of them are listed on eBay US at the moment.

I think many utes had their AC fitted at the dealer, not the factory, of locally sourced kits , local components. Maybe if aftermarket AC install is still a live business , doubt it, they can find suitable part.
