December 18, 201312 yr 40,000 mile engine I've had for years. 1989 carb long-block with and EFI intake bolted to it. I have to swap the head of course, well maybe. I'm still going to tear it all down, has sat for years and hasn't ran in 10. All the bearings look spectacular still, standard size, NDG. Oil pump same condition. Oil pan dented, straightened out. Bolted on the piece from an ECVT '92 Justy, now the engine can run the equal length axles. When I got it this was the leak down cold. I oiled the cylinders and rotated it but now with the pan off you can hear the compressed air leaks past the rings. Edited December 18, 201312 yr by Quidam
December 18, 201312 yr Author Thanks for the offer. I have a parts car... Stripped it all the way down and it looks really good except for dirt, corrosion, and such. I've got most of the parts to put it back together, gaskets, new timing chain, water pump...oh, the water pump seal was compromised on the oil pan side. That didn't look so good. Some other rubber o rings and such seen better days for sure. New rings I don't have. Doug
