Just getting started. Plan to take my 72 westfalia around the states but not on air cooled. Which subaru engine lends itself best to this kind of conversion?

The EJ22 out of the 2nd gen legacy is a very reliable engine, I know there are conversion kits out there for the Vanagon, not sure about the older bay window.

90-96 2.2 engine. 95-98 intake and harness (obd2)

There is a yahoo group dedicated to these conversions. they have them down pat.
