It's up at 2000 rpm at start up ! Is that to high ? Is there a way to turn it down a bit or is it O.K. at that speed ? Thanks for the help .

On or off choke?

Off choke 900rpm

On the choke 1400rpm

2000 on a very cold morning is normal.

 

Should drop within 3~5 minutes.

 

As long as it drops to below 1000 once warm

If it's too high, just kick it down.

Mine runs that way. Usually a quick pump on the pedal brings it down. I messed with the screw in the throttle body and it didn't make a whole lot of difference.
