crawdad Posted January 11, 2014 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Trying to replace front brake pads but cannot get the caliper piston to compress enough to get new pads in. tried with c-clamp but it has e-brakes on front couldn't get them to budge, took them completely off vehicle loosened bleeder too.Is there something else i need to do? BratRod Posted January 11, 2014 Share Posted January 11, 2014 Ah, this one gets me every time. The piston screws into the caliper. C-clamp will no nothing but frustrate you. Use a pair of channel locks, or go buy the tool from a local auto parts store. They're cheap, and fit on the end of a 3/8" ratchet. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
