January 11, 201412 yr Trying to replace front brake pads but cannot get the caliper piston to compress enough to get new pads in. tried with c-clamp but it has e-brakes on front couldn't get them to budge, took them completely off vehicle loosened bleeder too.Is there something else i need to do?
January 11, 201412 yr Ah, this one gets me every time. The piston screws into the caliper. C-clamp will no nothing but frustrate you. Use a pair of channel locks, or go buy the tool from a local auto parts store. They're cheap, and fit on the end of a 3/8" ratchet.
