January 20, 201412 yr Hey maybe someone else has come across a similar oil leak. Red arrow points to the highest point I could trace the leak to. First guess I have is that it is coming from the oil pan seal. 87 gl-10 turbo auto Edited January 20, 201412 yr by mandalore4411
January 20, 201412 yr Did you check the rocker cover, bottom side by the distributor? Difficult to see without using a mirror. Your oil pan is very clean and it appears the oil is squirting out above the pan.
January 20, 201412 yr Considering the amount of oil on the frame and what appears to be running off of it, i would suggest the cam tower o-ring is blowing out oil.
January 20, 201412 yr Author o ya cam o ring thats a good one dude. i didnt have the right seals a few months ago and i got a set now. ill change um out. thanks guys ill look more into that area. Edited January 20, 201412 yr by mandalore4411
January 20, 201412 yr Is the cam case o-ring on the forward end of the left head and the firewall end of the right head?
January 21, 201412 yr yes, they are opposite, as the heads are cast the same, but on opposite sides of the motor face opposite directions.
January 26, 201412 yr Oh Lord, same leak I been chasing.* About to RPG my ea82 over it. Thank you for this post and the engine picture, I will check mine too. * that was a very difficult sentence to write without saying things the would make Lee Ermy blush, the meds must be helping.
