I got my Legacy 4 years ago (in july). Its a 1997 automatic GT and it has 77,000 miles on it. Since I had it I never change the tranny oil and filter. I put around 30,000 miles on it. I doubt it was changed before I got it. What is the best oil and filter for it? and where can I get them online? I have a slight vibration, Subaru told me it might be the rear tans axle box or something like that. I forgot what he said. Maybe someone else will know what it is.

I like to use the Subaru filters and as far as oil goes just pick your favorite as long as it is a good oil.

 

You should get the tanny fluid changed. This should be done every 30,000 miles I think.
