1997 legacy gt lift question

Featured Replies

I have a 97 legacy gt wagon. I have the front half of a 4 inch sjr lift. I can not at this time afford to purchase the rear half. but I have access to all the equipment needed to fab the rear myself. my question is do you have to adjust angle of the REAR STRUT MOUNTS like the angle of the front strut lift mounts are, or are they just straight(square). thank you all for the info in advance.

Yes they need to be angled or you will have bad camber.

Can't make them too steep though......not at over 4" since it will hit the body.

I make them at 10 Degrees.

thanks, would it be equivelent to the angle that the fronts are angled?

Or is it "best" to save until I can purchase the rear set from sjr

@gloyale

the 10* you add into a 4 inch lift, is that 10 towards front,rear,inboard or outboard. i appreciate your help a ton. so, if i call the top of the mount 0* which direction should the angle go? thanks again, nathan

awesome. 10 degrees from top angled towards the front of the vehicle remaining parallel

The top of the strut needs to be angled in towards the center of the car.

OK, center of the car, meaning towards the opposite side....not the center as in between front/rear
