just got this car. the a/c turned on the clutch for a sec and then the clutch shut off. so i figured it was low on freon and had a slow leak. in a rush i put a can of freon in but it made no difference. hummmmm, found my guages and i had 100 on the low and high side engine off . gave the clutch 12 volts and low side went to 40 and high side hit 300 when i reved up the engine a little. ouch! too much freon.(maybe it wasnt low in the first place?) let enough out so i have 28 on the low and 200 on the high at 55 degrees  at 2000 rpm.

air is ice cold when i jump the clutch but compressor wont turn  on now at all. i unplugged the high side switch which made no difference.jumped the high side switch .no difference. so whats next? is the low side switch in the compressor? relay? ideas
