A couple CL links to cars. What do you think? Need some opinions.

All these cars are a decent distance from me, and I could easily pick them up if I decided to pull the trigger on one. Let me know what you guys think. Specifically, which motor does the 2000's era before 2005 Forester have? Also, what engine do the Baja's have?

Hello,

They all have the ej25 phase two engine. The big thing you need to look out for is head gasket leaks. They leak externally rather then the phase ones which leak internally. Before going into any of them I would check to see if they have been done. None of ads say they were so it's something you really want to check. The first one price wise is good but I would be Leary with the power steering pump it could be something easy there could be other issuses connected to it. The baja price is actually low at least from what I have seen. The 2000 forester looks to be on the pricer side but it depends on mileage. I hope I was helpful.

Thanks for the quick response and helpful info. I might be going to look at the last one in person today, so I will keep everyone posted.

Txted the owner of the black forester. He said it had 220k miles. I told him thanks but no thanks, I needed something with a little less miles.
