That ought to be easy to find. Thanks. I never knew that about the modulator, I'll check that out as well.

SUCCESS!!!!!!! 

 

It finally shifts the way it should! I put my old shift solenoid back in and voila' ! The kickdown switch was the problem, but the replacement solenoid was wonky so I never realized it.
