ea82t strange hard line near exhast

Featured Replies

I have what looks like a powersteering hardline coming from the block near the exhaust. Whats this line for?

Edited by elgigante

Or perhaps he is talking about the Coolant supply to the turbo?  it come out of passenger side head just in front of the exhaust.

Or the Oil supply line to the turbo....although that is high up on the back of passenger side head.

Its the hardline right by the exhaust port, under the car driver side.

If its for the turbo where would this line go? I thought I put all the lines on the turbo correct

If its dor egr, I dont even know where the egr valve is on my motor

88 ea82 turbo 4x4.

I did notice the turbo is hot if I idle the car for about 5 min and turn it off.

The EGR valve is directly above where it comes out of exhaust, but on the inlet manifold closest to the firewall, not the radiator, or has someone plated it up ? Two bolts hold EGR in place

I dont think I have one.

So its right by the distributor?

Would the hardline in my original post go to this?
