Fozzy gets a face lift

Featured Replies

so ive been toying with the idea to lift my forester and finally did it!

This is a 35mm Raised king spring, 1" AAE lift kit and new KYB struts all around. Total lift is about 2.5" of lift. She rides so much nicer and after yesterday of being up in the snow i didnt even touch the rear diff in the snow and there was about 8". Much stiffer and corners so much better.

i failed though at doing a before and after photo shot... Ill post some more photos when i get home next to my Forester xt.

The plan is to run 235/75/15 by next winter itll being be up about another 2".

Well this weekend me and my crew, Brother, Cuzin and best bud went to the Clackamas to go and fish a little of the high lakes... well there is still way to much snow! i hit a 4' deep x 10' long snow drift in my forester and plowed right through it.. but still ended up getting a little stuck further down the road.. rotten melting snow sucks.. we ended up hiking in cross country to get the the lake, nothin like be the first person in there! .. man what a weekend. The extra cleareance makes the world of diffrence! i didnt get stuck because i bottomed out, more of because my tires wouldn't cut through the massive amount of snow. Ofcource though all our phones were dead and no camera so we didnt get any pictures of all the snow...

270 000 miles :o Has the engine had big repairs like pistons changed?

  • Author

Haha as far as i know its the original engine and no major work done to the engine other than head gaskets, also apart from tune ups valve adjustment and rebuilt tranny last year. I bought her at 230k 4 or 5 years ago. First owner was a older lady who traded it in then the second owner was an older guy who drove only HWy miles. Then me. So its pretty possible its been babyed its entire life.

I think people get scared when they see that many miles. But this car just keeps on going much like any other Subaru with proper maintenance! I can get her hitting 300-320k easy. Very good compression on all cylinders haha

Dude...you've got to do something about those white wall tires haha. Reminds me of the delorean in back to the future when they had tires put on in BTTF 3. Either way i like what you've done with it!
