Hi all! Going to repaint my front bumper and i need to temporarily remove my Bar.

Here's the pic of how it's mounted.

       Now the question; can i remove those bolts (2 on each side) without the crossmember dropping off or do i need to brace it up?

       I've loosened it a bit and the crossmember seems to want to drop.

You'll want to put a jack under the center of the crossmember. The nuts will come off, but the bolts will stay in place.

Yeah, that was my thinking. Except it had a bar mounted skid plate that partially mounts to the crossmember and I'm having a heck of a time getting the mounting bolts (on the bar) off. Think I'm gonna have to drill them out. thanks, you did answer my question.
