How bad is a tight intake valve? One tight intake valve on 2002 H6 with 220,000 miles.

that's a good call to check. smallest available is 2.00mm in increments of 0.02mm thereafter up to 2.81mm.  i ground this one down from 2.42 to 2.20mm.

the others were 2.32mm, this one was a fatty.

So the valve isn't 'tall' compared to what the shims are made to accomodate, that's good news.

The bucket is seated properly and all that?

looked normal, valve train rotated normal, and seemed like same clearance when pressing to remove shims.

engine has zero issues, has run flawlessly for the past 100,000 miles i've owned it.

so i'm guessing it's all good, but i didn't specifically check.
