85 ea82 wagon 2" lift.

 

i was told i can do 5/8" without an issue by my friend Bodey, he used to wheel with the washington crew but is now here in ak.

 

anyways i picked up some  half inch spacers and some washers which should equal about 5/8.

 

my car is the manual rack.

I have the variable manual rack and I dropped my engine 1 and 1/4" and my trans 1". No problems just loosen the bolts and slide it out while your dropping it. Looks like it only moved less than 1/2" on the steering column shaft

i have the same rack an i just dropped it 3/4" so maybe i can do more if need be.

pick up a legacy  steering  knuckle  they are a bit longer
