I have a 97 legacy outback and I thought I had the right number however the hose from the slave cylinder to I guess is the clutch damper is banjo on both ends.. The part I have is part number 37251AC001

I checked on opposedforces.com, for whatever reason they don't have the part number for the older style clutch lines. I can tell you what you have is for the 98+ style system which has a hard line from the master and soft line to the slave.

That's not what I have.. from the master cylinder is a banjo bolt on both ends which goes to the clutch damper then another banjo from that to the slave cylinder.. how in the heck can they not have the part number for it?? I can't drive the car at all because brake fluid is leaking out from the line that goes to the slave cylinder.

I meant the part number you have, sorry should have been more specific. I also saw the pic of it on Facebook.

 

Is it leaking from both sides of the damper? If not you can use the good line to bypass the damper, it's really not needed and will have improved clutch feel without it.

No just leaking from the end that goes to the slave cylinder, the line burst about middle way on the hose.. so you are telling me friken Subaru has no part number for the hose??

Not that they are showing, but it's not the first time I've seen opposedforces lack a part number.

This sucks.. I was hoping to drive my car tomorrow.. I guess it's another week without driving it.. Since no one seems to have that can I convert the master cylinder to use the clutch line I have?

You can, you'll need a 98+ master cyl and hard-line at minimum. Ideally you'd get the bracket and clip as well.

 

You can't use your existing master cyl because the line comes out on the opposite side.
