Hi guys,

 

I can't seem to find the cabin/pollen filter in my 1996 Subaru Impreza LX 1.6

I've already removed the glovebox but it is not there. Any suggestions where can I find it.

Agree, I don't think cabin filters were put on any 96 models. My 98 & 99 don't have them either.

US market vehciles did not have them at that time. Not sure about markets.

 

If its not somewhere behind the glove box or under the blower box/housing, the only other place it might be is under the wiper cowl panel where the fresh air vent for the blower is.

I am pretty sure it simply doesn't have.

I can't seem to find pollen filter in catalogs and neither in the car. I've checked behind glove box and under the wiper panel and blower housing but found nothing. I have to agree that probably in 96 they simply didn't build it with pollen filters.

I've torn down one 96 and two 93s to the bare shell and none of them have had one.
