So I'm going to do a 6 lug conversion here soon and I want to put 25.5 inch tires on a 14 inch rim. What were the backspacing on the pug rims, and what kind of backspacing do I need so that I don't have to do any cutting? I plan on doing a 2 inch lift with it, and I just hate the thought of bashing/cutting anything.

I don't quite understand the question as all pug were 4 lug , in any case the  pcd140 pug models standard offsets are below

Yeah I reread my question and it's not too descriptive. Okay I plan on going with 14x6 rim when I redrill my hubs for a six lug. What backspacing/offset should I look for so that I won't need to do any cutting/bashing with a 2 inch lift?

ok the standard offsets for the Aus models were

 

SUBARU     LEONE, BRUMBY 77-85     4 X 140     E 42

SUBARU     L series               86-          4 X 140     E 55

 

so +42 for the Brat and +55 for the L series ( gl over there) will keep the wheels/tyres centered on the same track, if you fit 12" wide rims and 340/45/14 rubber (joke) you will will have to panel beat no matter what.

any offroad tyres at or under 25" will fit without a lift kit . Over 25" and you need a 2" body lift kit and usually some cutting of the guards  unless you put in an adjustable ( longer) castor rod to push the front wheels further forward in the fender.
