  1. But I already replaced the bushings that connect the shift linkage to the rod in the trans, is there another bushing I should be looking at?
  2. Well my issue is intermittent it doesn't always do this. and it's not that the pattern of my shifting is wonky, it's like my whole pattern just shifts to the right. The shifter doesn't physically move to the right, but the positions that the gears are located do, and then there's just a void where 1st and 2nd normally are. I suppose the mounts could definitely be a possibility and is worth looking into though.
  3. So lately I've been having this random issue where I'll be driving and then my gears move out of place. I can still find my gears and it drives just fine, but where 1st gear normally is it will move where 3rd gear is. like every gear moves to the right, and where first and second are is neutral. after a little bit of playing around it will go back to normal, but this is an issue I should probably look into. Anyone have any ideas what's going? I replaced the bushing on my shifter thinking it was that but it did it again, so that was not the issue. Any help is appreciated!

  5. It's definitely a good deal though, my friend has owned the car for a year and a half now and he got into a little fender bender and it got totaled so he bought it back and want's to part it out or flip it. The car still runs fantastic the damage was all cosmetic so it's the perfect candidate. But, being that I've never done this swap before and that it's OBDII, I just want to make sure I'm not way over my head if I take it vs. getting an OBDI
  6. See I've always read that wiring is a lot different different, and that 95 was a funky OBDII vs the 96-01 being that it was the early stages of the new system or something. That and I've read swapping OBDII systems into the ea cars is a bit more complicated because the computers are a lot more sensitive then the stupid OBDI, so I won't have as much room for error
  7. So I've read somewhere that the 95's were a really funky year and that the easiest ej22 swap into an ea82 car would be a 90-94. But, I can get a really good deal right now on a 95 and that would kick my butt into gear and get that swap done. So are the 95's obd1 or 2? How much more complicated is it to swap it into my loyale vs a 90-94? Pros and cons? Thanks guys!
  8. Awesome, exactly what I needed thank you! I plan on doing a bit of alteration to my headlight plugs for my new headlight setup (I think Gloyale posted on that post a couple days ago too) and I just wanted to make sure that if I do work on it that it won't all just be changed when I do the swap. I've also come to find that my alternator isn't putting out enough power to power everything at idle now (I knew this terrible day would come!) so I'm considering retrofitting an ej alt into it now since I have to alter the wires anyway. Has such a thing been done? What would I have to do wiring wise to get the ej alt to work?
  9. So I'm just laying things out in my head for my swap I plan to do this coming spring in my loyale. After the ej harness is hacked, what do I do with the old ea harness? Do I just unplug the old ecu and the old harness stays for things such as headlights and other misc things? I mean from my understanding the ej harness only has what's necessary to run the motor so it seems to me it has to stay there but I could take it out and clean things up.
  10. Alright got another harness and it does literally the exact same thing. So I'm gonna go with the polarity being the issue. I'm gonna get some relay harnesses and convert the polarity to what it should be and that will hopefully solve my problems.
  11. Yeah I discovered that with my multimeter last night. But I would think if the reverse polarity made a difference in the relay then it would just not work period, instead of having inconsistencies. I mean the only thing that is consistent is that my high beam light in my dash is very dimly on and when I first turn my lights on my high beams are on, but after playing with they switch they work normal. but if the polarity was it I would think it would not work like normal under any circumstance. I could be wrong I'm not an electrical genius though
  12. So I have a 90 loyale that I swapped DL quad headlights into, and I figured the easiest way to do the wiring would be to do an h4 quad plug harness upgrade that has relays and gets power straight from the battery. Now loyales have 9004 plugs, so I cut the plug and soldered in the correct h4656 plug and I know its wired right. The problem I'm having is if I turn on my low beams my high beams come on too, and the high beam light in my dash is on but very dim. Then I go to high beam and it will work sometimes but often I have to tap the relays. Then I go back to low and they work like they should but the high beam light is still on but dim. Is there some sort of relay that could be interfering? I know its not the relays in the harness because I swapped them for known good ones and it still did it. My thoughts are a faulty harness but if anyone else has encountered a problem like this I would love some input. Thanks guys!
  13. Just for the sake of reviving this old thread, on of my oem axles grenaded on me due to ball joint failure, so my first axle so far has been the NEW not reman axles from napa, and I'm not happy with them at all. Deadly shuddering straight out of the box! Marcus recommended AZ duralast new, but I have to wait 3 days >.< I'll let you guys know how these ones turn out for me
