So, I can't find my manual anywhere. I'm doing a re-seal on my 96 2.2 and need to know if I should add rtv in addition the the throttle body gasket. thanks for your assistance -Dude

Just the gasket. Never seen RTV on there.

I use a tiny bit of vasoline or light grease allows it to come off without tearing

No RTV. Never put RTV on a gasket.

RTV is only to be used INSTEAD of a gasket for certain parts.

 

For the TB, just use the gasket. A very light smear of grease can be used to help hold the gasket in place, and to ease disassembly as Ivan said.
