I tried hydrogen.  It corroded lots of sensors and caused some issues.  I have yet to save any money.   

Filter it well.   Forums will tell more of the story and allow you to figure out what didnt work.  

 

Many people end up using 3 bubblers and or a peat moss filter before the intake.  

Make sure the water cant bounce and splash into the intake as it could bend a rod.

And make sure it cant siphon.
