February 21, 201511 yr Hey Guys,, I haven't had the chance to research this, but it seems interesting. It says this unit has it's own built in ECU and can control ignition timing.. Only 8 connections. Could this be a viable replacement to a carbed unit without having to find a GEN3 donor SPFI and wiring harness.. What are your thoughts.. this seemed interesting. http://www.atomicefi.com/home.aspx I looked into the pricing... 2 GRAND!!!! Probably not an option for any of us.. but, still, interesting!!! February 22, 201511 yr Probably not a good replacement as they are designed for a minimum of a small block chev and probably flow at least 600cfm. That is way more than a 1.8 Subaru needs. Then you have the problem of adapting the 4 barrel design to out manifolds, they are made to replace a Holley 4 barrel.
February 23, 201511 yr Yeah, that's not going to work. Way to big flow wise. Crack the throttle and it's going to fall on it's face in a best case scenario. Worst: Stall.
