AC Clutch won't engage 96 Legacy

Good to know.  Limited experience with HVAC.  This exercise was a good lesson in AC logic.  I found it interesting and simple that all of the sensors were in series and any one would open the circuit.  If you have 12v at the ECM, all sensors are good.

Find out if you have 12v at Pin 60 at ECM when it is inop.  if so, then it is the same problem.  sounds like low refrigerant, though.

Refrigerant has been added. When charging, it's in the correct range then everything just shuts off; fans, clutch, and idle. Dunno if low would cause that. Going to mess with it tomorrow.
