A friend blew his 2000 2.5 SOHC.

I am going to give him my 96 2.5 DOHC short block.

I know to use his heads, intake manifold, sensors and tensioner bracket. Also to block the egr port if his doesn't have egr.

My question is, is it ok to use the ej25 turbo gasket (642) or is another thickness required as this was the only year that the head design required premium gas.
