'98 Legacy Outback Wagon, WRX Swap?

Featured Replies

What year (years) WRX would be what I need to do a whole drivetrain swap for my 1998 Outback Legacy Wagon? I want to make a real sleeper. Looking the same but loads of power, brakes, etc. Any links to projects like this appreciated. Anyone on here do similar? Thanks in advance! Michael

Welding and fabbing some stuff not a problem but want to do the most direct bolt in possible of course.

This sounds fantastic! I'm not going to say I know a lot (or much at all), but from what I've been reading around other forums (NASIOC for one), it seems like a similar generation would be easiest to do a swap with. I'm looking forward to seeing this happen! It's something I'm hoping to do in the future when I get a real job (currently a student). Also, I'll be joining you in Athens this fall for at least a couple years - going to graduate school there.

Michael Bailey 706-202-7017. Might be able to help yopu with housing and stuff......

That sounds awesome! We'll definitely have to get together once I get down there. I'm looking into housing somewhat near the University at the moment, I'll let you know if I need some help. Thanks!
