I have a 2005 engine who's body is beyond repair. I am looking to buy another one. Can I transfer my 05 engine into a 2006 or newer wrx? I am looking for a wrx with a bad engine or high miles that I can pick up for cheap and practically transfer everything onto the just purchased one.

Covered extensively on NASIOC website.

 

But the quick answer is NO. It's most compatible w/the '02-'05 model.

 

The newer models have different wiring harness, ECU, etc.
