I am in the process off buying a Forester diesel from 2009 that already has driven 185.000 km. I am asking myself if this is wise.  Greetings.

The lack of replies to this post may be because Subaru does not sell the diesels in the US so we have no experience with them.

the older a car is, the less important the brand's reliability, and the more important it's past care and present condition become. An individual used Fiat could be a better buy than a certain used Honda.

 

Finding a good mechanic near you to perform a pre-purchase inspection will probably be well-worth the money/hassle.
