help with autocheck, carfax, please!

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am new Subaru 97OB owner and have problems with alignment of my car that I just bought. When I test drove it, I did not notice it since I was unable to drive car fast enough. BigO'Tires said that cannot align the wheels as there is very little "space" and think that frame may be shifted.

I saw the Carfax at dealership and it was clean. Can somebody rerun it, please?

Also, some people suggest that some problems not reported on Carfax can be found on Autocheck. Can somebody run autocheck, please?

My VIN:4S3BG6856V7628439

How many Subies has that Big O store done? It's possible they just don't know how to do it.

Clean carfax 3 owners total one in NJ two in CA, it says there is an open recall with somehting about front coil spring so you may want to check to see if that has anything to do with it. Carfax won't tell you about minor accidents but anything bad enough to total it would have showed up.

that is possible - i'll go to see dealer tomorrow, may be i'll be lucky!

the spring recall has nothing to do with it not being able to be aligned. they had a paint problem with the springs that could cause them to rust, break, and slice into the tire. there soultion - replace the spring, no, just install a catchers mitt. but it won't affect you alignment at all...
