banging on the fuel pump

Featured Replies

I have a 1991 loyale spfi , I am having  to bang on the fuel pump  a couple times a day . once it  starts  im good .  im wondering if its a ground problem .  what is the most common cause of this .

Fuel pump is wearing out.

Cheapest replacement is the FORD pump for the dual tank pickups.

Got to get creative with fittings to hook up the stock lines to it.

does anybody have a good write up on this?

Been a thread or two recently on the swapping in of fuel pumps.

Dig back thru some of the recent fuel related threads, you'll find the info.

I would do it, but my computer won't let me do links/pics/quotes what have you.
