September 25, 201510 yr Hey all. I'm still trying to get the poor justy going. It has intermediate no spark and bogs and putters while driving and stalls alot. It shows ecu code 11. So far I have replaced: Spark plugs Plug wires Distributor cap and rotor Pick up coil Ignition coil Fuel filter I don't feel like it's a fuel issue, although I do hAve a carb rebuild kit. Any ideas? Thanks guys
September 25, 201510 yr according to the internet error code 11 is Ignition pulse system/crank angle sensor http://www.troublecodes.net/subaru/ does your justy have a crank angle sensor? Otherwise there is still a fault in the Ignition pulse system TOONGA
September 25, 201510 yr Author Thanks toonga. I will look for one when i get home. I thought that could be it, but i assumed since the car is carbed and older it wouldn't have one. But these motors are new to me. Thanks!
September 25, 201510 yr Author This site doesn't have a crank sensor listed for the 87 justy. http://www.askatech.com/askatechlive/aatfileshare/references/fasttrack/su005.pdf Ive also looked around online and haven't found anything about a new one for sale. Really sad this little car doesn't work, such a blast to drive. Thanks
September 28, 201510 yr only other thing I can think of is the crank angle sensor which apparently is in the distributor. Or it could need a carby rebuild. TOONGA Edited September 28, 201510 yr by TOONGA
September 28, 201510 yr Check the wires that go to the distributor. Check the whole length between the disty and firewall. They are known for cracked insulation that can lead to intermittent spark issues.
