Hello, I have a 2000 subaru legacy gt and I am trying to get a new transmission or at least a transfer case for it. But I have a hard time finding those for a low budget price and I found the transmission for a 2006 Impreza and I wanted to know if anyone knew where the case would fit mine. I mean I know if you look on the Internet it'll say no, but Imy asking those who have actual experiencend know more or less what they are talking about

What problem are you having that you need anew transfer section? We can give more suggestions for the least expensive option to fix it if we know what's broken.

What's the transmission code? White strip on the bellhousing in front of the starter. Auto or manual?

 

I have an automatic transmission from a 2000 Impreza RS that would bolt in. Would need the code from yours to know whether it's the same final drive or not. I'll be going to Los Angeles/Azusa this weekend so if it's a match I could actually bring it to you.
