December 11, 201510 yr Hi, first time posting i hope it is in the right place. I have a 94 gt legacy, the low beams are fine, the high beams work when the lever is pulled toward me but not when pushed into a locked position, BUT when checked with a light meter everything lit up but still no highs, bulbs are not particularly old, could it be something else? (Btw pulled steering wheel out and cleaned connection there without success)

If the High Beams are only working with the Lever Pulled, but Not working with the Lever Pushed, it sounds to me like there shall be a Problem with the Lever itself and / or the Wiring for it. You can first, check if the incoming / outgoing wiring is working as it Should; then if it is alright, you can change the Lever with another one, from a Subaru in a Junk Yard. Good Luck! ...
