I'm looking for a new air box for my 90 Legacy. The original is held together with some cheap spring clips and I can hear it sucking air. Any good places in the D/FW area for used import parts? I can go the cold air intake/ after market route but I'd rather not. I only paid $400 for this very low mileage (115K) car and am trying to keep things on the cheap.

you might try re-seating it.

the bottom edge, closest to the engine can be tricky.

it may even have a ''slot and tab'' set up.

No clips. Just 4 places where bolts should be. Only one tab still has the floating nut in it. The others have all been broken off the lower part of the box. I'm trying to see if I can adapt the old factory air box from my Gran Am to work.

I'm still looking for an air box but this should do for now Good thing I don't throw parts-n-pieces away.
