It has clean Carfax. 2 owner and has only been driven 40k miles since 1990. Looks to have been garaged most of its life in Southern CA/Bay Area. It has failed emissions a few times, but passed in 2015 after a basic tune-up and timing adjustment. Interior looks really clean. They are asking $2500. Def more than I would pay, but they have been sitting on it for a while, so may be motivated. 

 

What do y'all think?. I've never had a Sub that old, but a friend had one in high school and loved it. What kind of maintenance costs am I looking at, etc? I'm considering it for a 60 mile commute daily driver. 

At that price, only being a 2WD, I would pass.

A clean CarFax really don't mean squat on a 30+ year old vehicle. They haven't been around that long, and don't dig back thru any records of the vehicles V.I.N., prior to a few years before they started the reporting of vehicle info. And that info given, is only if the vehicles V.I.N. was recorded with a business that would report it to CarFax.
