CT Subie techs?

Featured Replies

up until this point i've done (or imagined) doing all my own work on my 01' OBW but, due to good 'ol life changes, i'm tapping out of that save for the oil changes and tire changes. i've got some work that needs doing and need someone who wants work to be doing. from what I gather, good private techs are like babysitters: if you have a good one, you don't share. but... however... that said... if anyone in CT knows of 'a guy' or 'has a guy', that wants a little work please PM me. i do have a regular shop i had been taking my wagon to, but they gotta charge what they charge and it's a bit hard to swallow right now. and as always, thanks!

I'll ask him but then again he might see this and just reply. :)

What part of CT are you in? Best guru I know is out east. I don't want to overload him so we'll let him reply.

Western CT I'd say find Angelo in Norwalk if he's still going and I expect he would be. Was near Strawberry Hill off East Ave.

Used to be Paul St. Germaine up around I-84 Wolcott area but he closed his old shop but I'm pretty sure he's still going.

Some little shop in Rt.10 in Milldale above Cheshire is an obvious Subaru specialty shop.

Charlie Miller who works at Premier in Branford if you can get him off to the side. Master Tech.

Nick's Motor Service south end of Hartford too but I think he may have retired but the shop looks to still be going. His boy and another guy may be running it with a new name.

Northwest corner looks to have some hotshot Subaru specialty place too these days. Certainly based around the STi crowd.

That's CT from my perspective. We lost Charlie D - ctsuba - last year. :( Guru

Good luck!

And if you want a shop with a long history etc. but of course the cost = ouch! then F & S in Waterbury. They have their own parts yard etc.
