1997 Impreza torque bind issue

Featured Replies

Started out being intermittent, but lately hasn't let up.  At low speed it is really binding up and putting the fuse in did nothing.  Any thoughts?

Torque bind is usually in the front end, so the fuse wont help. I would probably look for a new tranny.

TB is usually in the center diff. The FWD fuse will help if the Duty C is working.

If it does nothing then yours may be electrical. Does the AT temp light flash @ you on key ON>>Start-up. Check the codes...on here/'Net

The more you drive it the more you risk messing up your AWD.

You can try replacing ALL your ATF - Drain/Fill/Drive/Repeat 3 times....gets most of the old stuff out.....assuming you've check the fluid level already.
