I am replacing compressor on my 95 Impreza. Where is the expansion valve, or is there one? Is there an orifice tube? Thanks.

can you describe the problem you're having and why you think the compressor and H tube need replacing?

Expansion valve is on the evaporator core and you have to remove the core from the HVAC box to get to it. You have to remove the entire dash board in order to remove the HVAC box from the car.

 

Expansion valves on these almost never fail, so unless you're sure there's a problem with it, it's not worth trying to replace it.
