I want to get the drivers seat recovered over the winter and plan on switching it out for the passengers seat while that's being done. I measured the seat rails and they appear to be the same so I could just unbolt both of them. Any chance the seats just slide out from the rails like in an air cooled VW? It would be easier that way.

My Brat had two passenger seats in it, the rails fit both seats. Unfortunately they don't slide out like an old vw, you have to unbolt the seats, and then remove the rails from the bottom and swap them over.
