Already have one Subie in the yard: an 08 Impreza hatch.  5 spd manual, have had great luck with it.     Looking to replace my overpowered and poor handling Maxima with a Legacy.  

 

Currently have my eyes on an 09 2.5 I w manual tranny.   Approx 65,000 miles on the odometer.  Trunk, engine bay, door sills all really clean.

 

Anybody have experience w the '09?  Car seems really solid, have test driven it once.   Other years that may offer a better value?  

All 05-09's with 4 cylinder non-turbo legacy's are basically the same engine - just look for external headgasket leaks, consider timing belt replacement (105,000 miles or 105 months). So depending on bushings/rust/care/maintenance there isn't much difference in terms of reliability - value will simply be price/condition dependent for 05-09 legacy's.
