Need source: Rear wheel hub ring nut

Featured Replies

While changing the rear wheel bearings, I broke the ring nut that fits on the inside of the hub and holds the bearing in.

I can not find a source through Google. Does anyone know where to find these parts or an specs on them so I can have a new one fabricated?

If I still have the old arm off the '88, I can pop that nut out for you.

I'll dig around for it tomorrow and post back.

Thanks! If you're willing to part with the entire arm I could be interested. It never hurts to have spare parts.

Also I noticed I failed to mention it's for an 87 subaru brat which I believe is compatible with all 4wd GL's

The arm is an EA82 type, won't fit on EA81.

But they do share the same bearing set, axle stub, seals and lock ring on the 4WD Models.

Be a few hours before I head out to the garage today.

Let you know what I find out.

Found the arm. Nut has again become one with the bearing housing.

Do my best to get it out if you still want it.

Someone had beat on the housing enough that it basically locked the nut in.

Got it out once, but didn't get it back in fully and destroyed the bearing. Swapped out arms.
