While changing the rear wheel bearings, I broke the ring nut that fits on the inside of the hub and holds the bearing in. I can not find a source through Google. Does anyone know where to find these parts or an specs on them so I can have a new one fabricated?

Rear wheel started quacking in left turns, so I need to start pricing what it might cost to fix it. Problem is, I can't find parts online. Anyone who knows who carries these parts? Rear CV axles Rear hub assembly Rear wheel bearing

The stock bulbs are terrible. Im considering upgrading to Hella halogens but 200 for the 4 highs and lows is a lot of money I'd like to save for spending on a roll bar. suggest ways to upgrade the headlights for 200 or cheaper! Thanks in advance

Thanks guys. I knew about the 4 lug but I'm not so worried about new wheels as I am about getting new hubs that's dont grind while I'm cruising Thanks a ton miles! Sending those cvs out for machining and swapping sounds expensive, maybe ill just try to order new wheel bearings and go that route for now. In the very least, when and if I do make the swap I have all new front suspension parts for my next old gen or to sell on here!

Btw. The reason I'm looking at upgrading is my wheel bearings inside the hub are worn out and also my master cylinders are on their last legs. And I'm soon to be replacing ball joints, tie did ends, and rotors. So with all that work I assumed an upgrade to modern, easier to find, more effective parts just makes more sense.

Hi there folks. I have been absent from the forums (and from my shop) for a few months due to 84 hour work weeks. Yikes! They're finally moving my hours back enough that I'm starting some of my planned summer projects on my BRAT. Now I've been researching all afternoon for a thread anywhere on the Internet and only found one in which a guy upgraded his subaru brat hubs to a modern subaru 5 lug. My question is, what all HAS to be changed to get the new hubs? I know I'll need new rotors and brake assembly but can I keep the same struts and tierod and such? I'm looking for cost effectiveness but I will change anything that makes sense to. Thanks in advance! Ratch

I've got the transmission out of my legacy and it turns out it was an impreza trans. The hoses on the top are in a mount where they just hang and aren't connected. Hey folks! I'm trying to get my 300$ wagon on the road to be my new daily so I can work on my brat. But we burned up the transmission hauling it home when I got it. It only needed a jump when we got it home for the motor to start and the motor sounds SOLID! But now it only shifts between 1st and 2nd gear. Here's where the good news starts. My buddy swapped a SVX transmission which had previously been swapped with a legacy transmission. So we have one slipping trans, but with a working pump. He had ordered a low mile trans, and it had a bad pump so he got another low miles one and left the first here. So we have a second transmission with low miles but a bad pump. I took the two to a transmission shop and had them swap the pumps. And rebuild the torque converters. And instead of 1200$ for a rebuild I'm walking out with a (hopefully) working tranny for just $375. My only question is, does anyone have any tips to help me out with the swap? It's going to be my first time installing a transmission myself and I'm hoping to get it done in a single day.
