I'm looking at replacing the motor mounts in my 84 gl. I went to Rock Auto and found they have reasonably priced mounts. Only problem is there is an option for front or rear mounts. I've spent a considerable amount of time under that car and I'm fairly certain there is only a left and a right motor mount. Can anybody shed some light on this? I don't want to buy the wrong stuff.

They list the trans mount under rear motor mount. There is only a L & R on the motor. You're correct.

If the motor mounts are shot then the transmission mounts are bound to be shot too unless they were replaced. The bottom 2 parts in your link are the motor mounts. If you buy the westar brand ones for the engine and transmission it shows they ship from the same place so that cuts down on shipping cost.

Ok thank you for the insight. Tranny mounts were replaced a couple months ago while I was chasing down a mystery vibration. Now I have a new mystery vibration.... Starting with the motor mounts this time.
