A part number search leads me to believe it won't work, but I'll ask in case anyone knows for sure.

 

Any way to swap a steering rack from a 2004 Forester into a 2009 Forester? I know a lot changed from the SG models to the SH, but it would be really convenient if that swap would work.

No idea. I'm parting a 2004 Forester and some guy wanted to know if the rack would work in his 2009. I told him I doubt it, but figured I'd do some research.
