Hi Guys,

 

Went to start my partners car this morning and it wouldn't start after driving home fine last night?

 

It is turning over fine but wont start with the occasional little splutter from the engine bay. 

 

I have checked the inline fuel filter to see if that was blocked but the fuel pressure seems fine. 

 

Any ideas on common issues / what to check next.

- Car is a 2006 Legacy station wagon - EJ20 2.0 non turbo. 

check engine light on? scan and report code(s)

 

could be slipped timing - how long since timing belt system service?

 

 

any dew/moisture ? could be high voltage is shorting/arcing - maybe try again when it dries-out.

 

if you think it has spark and timing hasn't slipped - squirt some starter fluid in the intake and see if it tries to run. If it does, fuel supply could be the issue, if not, spark or timing problem?
