October 30, 20169 yr i ran the abs check and got code 24 Abnormal ABS sensor, abnormal ABS sensor signal front left sensor. does this mean it just needs a new sensor?
October 31, 20169 yr Most likely. You can check and clean the sensor. Sometimes they are full of crud. Wire brush or sotchbrite the sensor and see if it changes.
October 31, 20169 yr Author well i learned the reason for this sensor code. today i pulled the rotor off to inspect and clean the sensor and i found there was no tone ring at all. the previous owner told me he replaced the drivers side hub im thinking he used a non abs hub or simply forgot to put the tone ring on it.
November 1, 20169 yr Author abs is fixed. i installed a tone ring and put in a missing abs fuse. for future reference you can cut a tone ring in half and install the 2 halfs and have it work.
