Steering Wheel dye comes off on hands

Featured Replies

We are recent owners of a 2016 Subaru Crosstrek Limited edition and love it!  One interesting thing that didn't show up at first.  Everytime I drive our new Subaru Crosstrek my hands look blue.  And I discovered that I can wash it off.  Apparently something in the dye on the steering wheel is coming off on my hands every time I drive it.  Anyone else have this problem?  Any solution from Subaru?    Yourself?

Is it the hand lotion you use or something else on your hands?

Hand lotion, sun screen, hand sanitizer, etc. will all break down the materials that makes up your steering wheel.
