Got the rear end apart on my Brat and I'm trying to remove the inner ring nut. Haynes sez: tap it and she'll go. Reality sez otherwise...is the Chevy 4wd tool (looks pretty close) the same as the Subie?

 

Got to finish the mechanical stuff before I weld...

I use a chisel and a hammer, or a brass punch and hammer. There was a web site that had the tools pretty reasonably - do a search on it.
