a few weeks ago my tranny was leaking out of the shift rod seal., well it still is. anyway, i drove the car a few miles, parked it and noticed a puddle (tranny fluid) under the inner, passenger side cv joint. i replaced the seal, and about 6-10 miles later, its leaking again. something worn out? time for a new tranny? im gettin kinda irritated as i dont want to go get another tranny, or have to tear this one down. help or advise would be helpful. thanks,

btw its an '80 hatch. ea71 4 spd single range 4wd.

if the seal is retained by a screw-in cup the cup may not be in all the way; is the output shaft loose? Also important to note the seals are directional, ie. there is a left and right side. If you get the sides mixed up it will actually push oil out of the seal, although it should not be too much.
